Quad Safari in Antalya: What to Expect, Step by Step

Booked a quad safari near Side, Manavgat or Antalya and wondering how the day actually unfolds? Here is the whole experience, step by step, so you know exactly what to expect from the moment we knock on your hotel door to the moment you get back, grinning and covered in dust. No surprises, no licence, no experience needed.

Step 1: Free hotel pickup

Your day starts with a free transfer from your hotel. Pickups are grouped by area, so the exact time depends on where you are staying and which departure you join. We run morning and afternoon rides, and we will confirm an approximate pickup window with you in advance rather than a firm clock time. Wear old clothes you do not mind getting muddy and closed shoes that grip. The comfy air-conditioned minibus takes you out towards the Taurus foothills, where the base camp waits.

Step 2: Arrival and briefing

At the base you are welcomed and given a short, clear safety briefing. You will learn how the quad works, the throttle and brakes, how to steer through corners, and the simple hand signals the guide uses on the trail. This is where any nerves melt away, because you quickly realise a quad is easy to ride once someone shows you. There is no test and no pressure.

Step 3: Helmets, gear and practice lap

Next you collect your gear. Helmets and the necessary protective equipment are provided, so you do not need to bring anything special. Once you are geared up, you take a practice lap around a flat area to get a feel for the controls, the balance and the braking. By the end of a lap or two, most people feel comfortable and ready for the real trail.

Step 4: Onto the trail

Now the fun begins. You ride your own single-seat quad in a convoy behind an experienced lead guide, with another guide usually bringing up the rear so nobody is left behind. The route winds along dusty, sometimes muddy Taurus-foothill tracks, through pine scrub, past little streams and over rougher sections that keep it interesting. The pace is set so beginners can enjoy it, and there are natural photo stops along the way where you can catch your breath and take in the scenery.

Step 5: Water crossings and the water fight

Expect to get wet and muddy, that is half the point. The trail typically includes shallow water crossings where you splash through streams, and many rides end with a friendly water fight that leaves everyone soaked and laughing. This is why we insist on old clothes and closed shoes. If you would rather stay drier, just tell your guide and hang back a little during the splashy bits.

Step 6: Back to base and the ride home

After the loop you return to the base, hand back the helmet and gear, and have a chance to rinse off and relax. Then the same minibus drops you back at your hotel. The whole outing is relaxed and unhurried, and the guides are there to help throughout.

Combos: make a full day of it

If one adrenaline hit is not enough, the quad pairs beautifully with other adventures. Popular combinations add rafting in Köprülü Canyon, a canyon zipline, the dramatic Tazı Canyon viewpoint, or a Taurus jeep safari. Some combos are tailored on request, so ask us and we will put together what suits your group. You can browse the full range on our tours page.
