It is an urban base rather than a beach-resort one, but that does not put the off-road out of reach: the Taurus foothills climb steeply just behind Antalya, so the wild tracks are closer than you might think. We simply bridge the gap with a free transfer.
One moment you are on the coast road looking out over the bay; a short while later you are on a quad, kicking up dust on open country trails. That quick shift from city streets to rough ground is exactly what makes this trip such a good change of pace from a stay in the centre.
How the safari works
Our driver meets you at Akra Hotel and takes you to the nearest Antalya-area off-road base. There your guide fits your helmet and goggles, runs through the controls and covers the safety rules on a short warm-up loop before you head out. Practise the throttle and brakes until they feel natural, and the trail becomes far more enjoyable.

What the trails are like
The route runs over packed-earth tracks, dry river beds and muddy sections that spray up as you push through. You get open stretches to build speed and tighter, rutted corners where you slow down and choose your line through the foothill scenery. The guide sets a pace that suits everyone in the group.

Helmets, goggles, the pre-ride briefing, your guide and insurance are all part of the deal, together with the free round-trip transfer from Akra Hotel. Wear closed shoes and clothes you do not mind getting dusty or muddy, and you are set. A spare top, water and an action camera for the messy bits are smart things to bring.
