- The vehicle. A buggy is a two-seat side-by-side with a steel roll cage, seatbelts and a car-style steering wheel. If you are shown a single-seat machine, that is a quad (ATV) safari — a different tour. The second seat is the whole point of a buggy: a partner, friend or child sits beside you and shares the run.
- Briefing and practice lap. Controls explained, helmets and goggles issued, then a supervised practice lap before the convoy leaves. An operator who skips this is saving minutes at your expense.
- Guides and cover. Ask whether trained off-road guides actually ride with the convoy and whether accident insurance is included.
- Transfer. Free door-to-door hotel pickup should be part of the price, not a taxi you organise yourself in the morning heat.
- Payment terms. A confident local operator does not need your card weeks in advance to hold a seat.
