The terrain that starts ten minutes behind Side
Drive inland from the Roman theatre and the resort strip stops abruptly. The tracks we use climb into the Taurus foothills through pine and scrub, drop into dry riverbeds and cross shallow water where the canyon streams spread out. Depending on the season and the last rain you get powder-fine dust or thick, satisfying mud, and usually both in the same session. Nothing out there is a manicured circuit. It is working forest and farm track with ruts, loose stone and constant camber changes, which is exactly why it is fun in a caged buggy and miserable in a hire car.
Your convoy is led by a professional off-road guide who knows which lines are safe on the day, and the pace is set by the slowest driver in the group rather than the boldest.
Two seats, one steering wheel
Our buggies are side-by-side vehicles, not quads. That means a steel roll cage over your head, proper seatbelts and a car-style steering wheel with pedals that behave the way you already expect. One adult drives; the seat next to them carries a partner, a friend or a child, so please confirm the child's age when you book and we will seat them correctly.
Sharing the cab is the whole point of choosing a buggy in Side: it is the vehicle to take when two adults want to ride together, since on a quad each adult rides their own machine. You talk over the engine, swap the camera and get soaked by the same river crossing at the same moment. No driving licence and no off-road experience are required and the driver simply has to be an adult. Ability decides the seat: anyone who does not feel confident at the wheel rides as a passenger for the same money, and nobody is pressured either way.
How a Side buggy session runs
- Hotel pickup at your door, included free, with a morning or golden-hour departure.
- Kit and briefing at the track: helmet and goggles issued, then a full safety talk covering throttle, braking, convoy spacing and hand signals.
- Practice lap before anything serious, so you find the bite point and decide who drives.
- The convoy itself: forest track, dust, mud and shallow water crossings, with regular regrouping stops for photographs.
- Drop-off back at your hotel, filthy and grinning.
Accident insurance is included, and the guides ride the route with you rather than waving you off at a gate.
Free pickup across Side and its resorts
Door-to-door transfer is free, and there is no minimum group size hidden behind that. We collect from:
- Side centre, old town and the harbour hotels
- Evrenseki and Kumköy
- Titreyengöl and Sorgun
- Gündoğdu and Çolaklı
We also run transfers from Manavgat, Boğazkent, Belek, the Alanya resorts and Kemer, so a group staying in different hotels can still ride together. If you want more from the day, the same buggy can be combined with Köprülü Canyon rafting, or extended into a 3-in-1 with zipline and a 4-in-1 that adds the Tazı Canyon viewpoint.
Book direct, pay on tour day
We are the local operator running these buggies, not an agency reselling someone else's convoy, which is why you get the best price direct and why nothing is taken from your card in advance. Reserve online free, choose your date, and pay your guide on the day in cash or by card once you have seen the vehicles. Plans change on holiday, so message us on WhatsApp at any hour: our team answers 24/7 in the run-up to your ride and on the morning itself.
