The terrain behind Alanya
Alanya sits with its back against the Taurus foothills, and that is where the buggy trails are. Inland from the coast the tarmac gives out and the route turns to dirt: loose dust that hangs in the air behind the buggy ahead, pine and forest tracks, rutted farm lanes, and shallow water crossings where the river runs across the track rather than under it. Parts of the route push into canyon country, so the surface keeps changing — hard-packed and fast one minute, churned mud the next. Couples ride together, friends share the cab and swap stories over the engine, and families put a child in the passenger seat (tell us their age when you book so we can seat them properly). Who drives, and who rides
The driver must be an adult; beyond that, ability decides. Every participant receives helmets and goggles, a full safety briefing and a practice lap before the convoy moves off, and that lap is an honest test. Handle the machine confidently and you drive. Prefer not to, or find it heavier than expected, and you ride as a passenger for exactly the same money — nobody is pushed into a seat they do not want. How your session runs
- Free door-to-door pickup from your hotel in Alanya, Türkler, Okurcalar, Avsallar or Konaklı.
- Arrival at the off-road base: safety briefing, helmets and goggles issued, buggies allocated.
- Practice lap covering controls, braking and convoy spacing.
- The main route — forest track, dust, mud and shallow river crossings, with guides riding front and back.
